Principals: |

Patrick
Lam, P.Eng
Mr.
Patrick Lam has
over 24 years of
experience in
structural design,
assessment and
mitigation of building
and bridge structures.
He
is well
experienced in seismic
and wind engineering
and has been involved
in the seismic design
and upgrading of
numerous buildings in
Canada.
His
major field is the
application of
computers to seismic
and wind analysis and
the design of new and
existing building
structures using
advanced techniques
that include dynamic
analysis of high-rise
and special
structures.
Patrick is also well
conversant with design
and construction in
Asia. He worked
with Ng Chun Man &
Associates in Hong
Kong and was involved
in the design of many
residential and
commercial
high-rises.
Since 1992, he has
been overseeing
overseas projects for
CWMM and is
responsible for the
design of many
projects in Asia,
including those in
Taiwan, India,
Malaysia and Hong
Kong.

John
Peddle, P.Eng
Mr.
John Peddle has
experience in a
wide variety of
engineering
projects
including both
renovation and
new projects.
Experience
extends to
residential,
school,
hospital,
college and university
buildings,
churches, arenas
and office
buildings;
working closely
with owners’
representatives,
other
engineering
disciplines and
architects.
Mr. Peddle has
worked on some
very innovative
projects such as
the Calgary
Olympic Saddledome,
and preliminary
designs for the Skydome
in
Toronto. He is able to combine his practical experience with
creative design
input as an
effective member
of the
design team.

David
MacKinnon, P.Eng
Mr.
David
MacKinnon has
been involved in
the design and
co-ordination of
building
structures for
over 20 years
since obtaining
his Bachelor's
degree in
Engineering from
the University
of British
Columbia.
During
this time he has
worked in
Alberta, British
Columbia,
Ontario,
Alabama, Arizona
and Venezuela.
He has been
responsible for
the design of
educational,
institutional
and
industrial/warehouse
projects, as
well as high and
low rise
commercial and
residential
projects.
He has
also coordinated
the engineering
disciplines on
many major
projects.

Don
Bergman, P.Eng
Mr.
Don Bergman completed his
B.A.Sc. Degree in
Structural Engineering
at University of
British Columbia in 1980. After
completing a year of
practical design
experience with a
major structural
consultant, he
completed a M.Eng.
Degree in Structural
Engineering at
University of British
Columbia in
1982. During his
career, he has worked
almost exclusively in
the structural and
transportation
consulting field, with some direct
contractor experience
while working on the Revel stoke
Dam project
during the 1980's. He
joined CWMM in 1988,
and became a Principal
of the restructured
firm in 1994. He also
initiated the firm’s
Kelowna office in
1994, and continues to
manage this office
today.

George
Strazicich, P.Eng
Mr.
George Strazicich has
a wide variety of
structural engineering
experience involving
project coordination,
design and
construction
supervision of
commercial,
residential,
institutional and
industrial buildings.
Projects have
involved buildings
ranging from one to
over twenty stories.
Design
experience has
included reinforced
concrete, pre-stressed
concrete, pre-cast
concrete and
structural steel.
George
specializes in seismic
engineering and has
recently completed
numerous seismic
evaluations and
upgrades of existing
buildings.

John
Papadakis, P.Eng
Mr.
John Papadakis
graduated from the
University of the
Witwatersrand in
South Africa in 1974
and started
employment at Rigby
Cronje &
Levendis Consulting
Engineers
Inc., a local
consulting firm. He
was appointed
Associate of that
firm in 1981 and
periodically managed
the company's branch
office in Mbabane,
Swaziland. After
emigrating to Canada
he joined CWMM
Consulting Engineers
in 1988 and has substantial
experience in the
structural design
and analysis of
commercial,
industrial,
residential and
institutional
buildings and has
successfully
completed numerous
projects involving
the seismic evaluation
and structural
upgrading of
existing buildings.
His design
experience includes complex
structures using a
broad variety of
construction
materials, including
heavy timber,
masonry, tilt-up
concrete and
structural steel.

Michael
Weilmeier, P.Eng.
Mr.
Michael Weilmeier
joined CWMM's
Kelowna branch
office in 1994, its
first year of
operation, and has
played a major role
in the strong growth
of the office over
the past decade.
He strives to
maintain the company
policy of providing
cost effective
designs without
compromising on
details or quality
control. His
background of
experience is
diverse, comprising
of the
structural design of
buildings in wood,
concrete, steel, and
concrete block, as
well as highway and
forestry bridges,
water reservoirs,
and other unique
structures.

Our
Staff
Our
experienced staff of
thirty includes
Engineers,
Technicians, Field
Inspectors, and
Administrative
Staff. All work along with
the Management Team to
provide CWMM with the
flexibility to
assemble design teams
that are geared specifically
to clients' needs
respect to Technical
expertise and Team
participation.
Several
members of our staff
are also actively
involved in peer groups
such as Consulting
Engineers of B.C.,
Vancouver Structural
Engineers Group,
Structural Engineering
Consultants of B.C.
and the Vancouver
Professional Services
Management
Association.
