Lusitano, Ice House
Street, Hong Kong
Club
Lusitano is located in
the Central District,
the business centre of
Hong Kong. It
consists of a curtain
wall clad office tower
on a commercial podium
level with a total of
28 floors above street
level. The top 5
levels of the tower
houses the activity
rooms, restaurant and
club facilities for
Club Lusitano, which
has been a major
private club for the
Portuguese community
in Hong Kong for many
decades. On the
top floor, a 10 metre
high, 16 metre by 18
metre column-free area
under a three
dimensional space
truss provides the
club floor. The
main structure of
the building is
constructed in
reinforced concrete
framed efficiently to
provide minimal column
in the office
and club floors.
